Every mother and every father knows the feeling. Every minister faces decision fatigue sooner or later.
It’s hard to see the big picture, and stay on top of the details. It’s not easy to work out what to do with the muddle in the middle between the higher level stuff and the nitty gritty.
We all feel more at home at one level or the other, but the new role requires that we give ourselves to both, and at the same time pray and listen and speak and serve, swanlike, real, vulnerable, competent, persuasive, gentle, and so the list goes on.
